Mentorship

“Ask the experienced rather than the learned” (Arabic proverb). Doing and experiencing something is much more effective than theory alone. Both successes and failures allow authentic compassion and understanding to stem from knowing pain and pleasure first hand. We can seek out mentors that have five to ten or more years’ experience than ourselves to facilitate beneficial guidance, advice, suggestions, and help toward acquiring our aims and overcoming life’s obstacles. Keep in mind that while seeking mentors, by rushing too quickly to the top, our questions might have been answered by people with less experience and wisdom.

Nevertheless, follow class acts and quality people only. Rid prejudices, looking for the good in others. Remember that we can learn from everyone, even if it’s what not to do. Books, podcasts, mastermind groups, and individual one-on-one in-person, telephone, e-mail, or internet platform mentorships can be very effective toward helping reach personal, emotional, health, fitness, social, relational, professional, financial, and spiritual goals. We can all teach each other valuable insights, promoting useful attitudes, behaviors, and leveraged environments (ABLE), in turn, furthering humanity for the better—one person at a time. Don’t worry about who gets credit, just give generously with heartfelt intentions.

Delayed Gratification

Ideally, remain sexually moral and wed while both remain virgins. The monogamous, self-disciplined, and delayed gratifying practice can create long satisfying marriages. Don’t sell yourself short by living a passive and lenient custom by giving your beautiful and invaluable self away freely or hastily without divine mutual harmonious commitment. Don’t risk acquiring gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis, HIV or an unwanted pregnancy just for fleeting moments of pleasure.

“It is easier for a father to have children than for children to have a father” (Pope John XXIII). Will a child have true security, unconditional love and acceptance, excellent role models to emulate, and both parents’ physical and positive emotional presence that can provide for his or her maturing needs? The surest way to prevent an undesirable outcome is to avoid sex before marriage. Thoughts are precursors to continual action. Growing temptation resistance muscles starts in private through our daily life-giving rituals.

Commitment

Be 100% committed to a new strategic plan. Slip-ups are only mistakes that do not define you as a person. A major issue is that when people decide to minimize their standards, succumbing to the fallacy that one puff from a cigarette, just a sip of alcohol, or only one cupcake will be okay—in addition to an individualized set rule, regression begins. Do not break loyalty with yourself, lest trust be lost and difficult to regain. Empathize with the human condition that no person is or ever will be perfect, including yourself. We are all learning, growing, and living at our own pace and race. All is well as long as we do not stop rising to new levels of excellence in any dimension of our lives. Remember that micro daily thoughts, words, and actions make up our macro destiny.

The same goes for relationships with marriage, parenting, friends, co-workers, and beyond, relating to thought, speech, and acts of love or cruelty. Fall or leap forward, not backwards into similar patterns of coping and acting. Living abundantly and full comes from relentlessly moving in a progressively forward direction, no matter what. This mindset about new ways of living becomes branded into the heart, soul, and mind, building lavish lives, previously gone unnoticed and inconceivable. Let the new you begin today, venturing on discoverable paths toward feeling alive and being authentically free.

Revelation: Self-restraint Sprinkled with Action

“So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves” (Galatians 5:16 NLV). Now, you can live a righteous, self-disciplined, and powerful purpose-driven life with new insights, behaviors, and being hindsight is 20/20. Respect yourself totally, which encompasses mind, spirit, soul, and the beautiful one and only custom made body that is yours. Do not feel misled, guilty or judged due to slip-ups and wrong decision-making. Accepting divine grace and forgiveness covers the mistakes of being human.

Additionally, do not succumb to retail therapy as a futile coping mechanism for temporary fleeting relief because of problems, which only multiplies troubles creating additional feelings of numbness and void. The value of something is relative, although may be directly and individually linked to efficient and effective time given up acquiring it. Each moment before deciding to spend more money than you currently have, think of invaluable time that could be spent with family or working toward goals possessing expansive meaning and purpose, having potential to literally save or positively influence enhancing change in an individual’s priceless, beautiful life.

Go Against the Tide

“A dead thing can go with the stream, but only a living thing can go against it” (G. K. Chesterton). Stop concerning yourself with other people’s opinions (OPOs). Nothing great is possible without approaching life by pacifistically and relentlessly fighting back, hence forward for visionary ideals. Build your inner fight so strong that corruptible vulgar noise becomes silent impenetrable deafness averting lingering contact with your mind, body, spirit, and soul. Going against the tide, in time, flows naturally with ease. Do not sacrifice or succumb to fleeting short-term gains, forfeiting long-term mastery and perpetual profit. Begin joyfully living your passionate dreams, outside the box of conformity and comfort, today.

Self-discipline and the Law of Replacement

Consider making your bed as a starting point toward creating or fortifying self-control. Practice the daily routine of being grateful for the multitudes of blessings in your life. Each day above ground is a wonderful day to be alive. Taking consistent action when we do not feel like it promotes self-restraint, reinforcing thoughts, words, and behaviors that will thrust us forward by leaps and bounds into living abundantly and full. Grow more influential and magnanimous by the thoughts you think, words you speak, and behaviors you act upon. Attitudes of self-discipline, reception, willingness, cooperation, and genuine self-expression toward god-like noble ideals creates monumentally mighty deft hope, which annihilates the most viciously inhumane seemingly unbearable despair known to mankind. The attitude of hope patiently endures all hardship, while thinking optimistically, believing ceaselessly, seeing realized dreams through darkness, and anticipating and appreciating triumphant victory around the corner. Hope perseveres on this side of ABLE.

“Though a mighty army surrounds me, my heart will not be afraid. Even if I am attacked, I will remain confident” (Psalm 27:3 NLT). “Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God” (Ephesians 6:17 NLT). Remember to be brave, act brave. Control your thoughts through positive mental attitudes (PMAs) and positive self-talk. Replace bad with an overwhelming amount of consistent and persistent good.

Furthermore, daily, hug your kids, kiss your spouse, and tell your family how much you love them, give genuine and sincere complements, show up, and be fully engaged. The returns are undeniably rewarding. Go forth with courage and zeal upon your exploration into uncharted terrains and discover the truly brave, adventurous, and beautiful life that awaits.

Ideals

Let’s be allegiant to our celestial lands of radical unity and harmonious love, serving essential ideals wholeheartedly in all thinking, speaking, and doing. May our attitudes, behaviors and principles of thought correlate with our deep-seated values, leading to divine peace and greatness. Compassionate loving kindness is pragmatically useful being we can help mitigate pain and suffering through generous gifts of thought, word, and deed. Allow permeated truths to dwell in the center of your soul, embracing virtues of excellence as foundational standards for guidance, direction, meaning, and purpose.

Build Self-Confidence

“Be like a promontory against which the waves continually break, but it stands firm and tames the fury of the water around it” (Marcus Aurelius). You are stronger and braver than you think. Create an intangible moat built of self-confidence, mental toughness, and fortitude, which surrounds your castle that is impenetrable to enemy forces. Focus on small daily rituals that prime self-confidence and positive lingering moods through small incremental wins leading to colossal victory.
