Plan, Share, Create, Grow

“Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face” (Mike Tyson). Troubles and set-backs can and do happen, but without a plan in place, failing is the plan. Knowing God’s plan trumps mine grants me peace to keep on keeping on.

“It’s better to have a bruised ego, than a lifetime of regret” (Author unknown). Going against the grain, breaking the mold, creating a path when none exists, offering possible life-giving services, is courage at its best. Go for it—help others. Live out your dreams!

Sharing messages of hope only takes willingness. Being bold and brave entails showing up and doing something to help others, despite possible criticism or embarrassment. Why not share a story of direct or indirect triumph to encourage and inspire others through challenging times? Lighten the burden of others via your personal story of victory. Transformation occurs from the inside out, which can be activated by an inspiring true experience and a spark of encouragement. Stay humble, letting go of an over-sized ego. Don’t waste hurt, trials, and burdens overcome. Share them with the world so others can benefit, knowing they are not alone in their pain and heartache. Strive to be a better person.

Being Better

“Lord, grant that I may always desire more than I can accomplish” (Michelangelo). Don’t’ limit God’s abilities based on your lack. Placing trust in God allows a person to know that God is greater than any fear. Rise above your emotions, intentionally investing in others. We must put our priorities in check, while respecting ourselves, so we can live grander, do better, and give more.

Reward healthy behaviors to reinforce specific actions that generate productive and effective results. The outcomes can be incentive in itself, therefore creating repetition, leading to habit formation. Ask yourself, “What can I do right now to better take care of myself and others?” Too many choices create confusion, complicating decisions, thus leading to paralysis by analysis. Focus on a need and fill it. Don’t think too much. Just do it!

Sprinkles of Love and Understanding

Endorphins fight pain and can create a sense of euphoria, which increase with illicit and prescribed opioid use, laughter, coitus, and aerobic more so than anaerobic exercise. Oxytocin creates a bond between people that is released with physical touch. Cortisol is a stress hormone that facilitates the fight-or-flight response by fueling the release of sugar reserves when in danger, which is good, although a constant surge may create harmful blood glucose elevations and can suppress the immune system. Epinephrine or adrenaline release through fight-or-flight, negative thoughts, stress, pain, powerful emotions, such as anger, and stimulants can cause vasoconstriction, hypertension, and increased glucose levels.

Moreover, a continually elevated blood pressure can lead to coronary artery disease, stroke, peripheral vascular disease, and heart attack, among other undesirable ailments. Chronically increased blood sugar levels may cause diabetes, which has the potential to create each of the aforementioned disease processes and a myriad more. We are able to prevent, stop, or decrease the likeliness toward acquiring those ailments by controlling and mastering ourselves. Decide to eat less salt, sugar, and saturated fats, therefore mitigating the possibility of succumbing to unwarranted effects we do not desire in our lives.

Salt, saturated fats, and especially sugar can create instant gratification by dissolving rapidly on our tongue, creating a positive stimuli-habit-reward feedback loop. Like a dog being conditioned to salivate upon hearing a bell, immediately anticipating food, we too can be programmed in a similar manner. Fortunately, we can change our behavior, input, and responses to stimuli through intentional conscious control, therefore leading to subconscious automatic actions. This is why it is crucial not to eat candy, drink pop or chew gum full of sugar while trying to quit smoking or give up any bad habit.

No matter what, love and accept yourself where you are. Don’t procrastinate becoming the best you possible. Help yourself and others compassionately, not hoping for healing or success by passively standing by without action. Forget the plan, lest paralysis by analysis sets in. Just decide and get busy doing it. Begin living your dream life today.

Opportunities

Heeding and acting upon truths creates blazing light, bridging once unknown blackened borders, deepening unseen deadly chasms and obstacles to push, pull, will, jump, and run through, allowing the changing trajectories and patterns of our lives. Let challenges, problems, and unwarranted circumstances in any realm of life fuel growth in all you do, now and always. These are wonderful opportunities to learn, grow, and become better through practicing daily ownership, responsibility, and self-discipline. Embracing an attitude of growth, optimism, and appreciation for people allows mundane to transcend into divine loving joy, kindness, compassion, and triumphant juicy delectable victory. We were and always will be stronger together, embracing unifying visions and missions, sharing, helping, and contributing to the well-being of humanity. This process of growth and hope begins with you and me, never ending until…; not even the end of age.
