Nonjudgmentally taking care of perpetrators in the hospital is possible attributed to God’s grace bestowed. I thank God for not critically harming anyone because of my teenage folly and lack of direction, purpose, principles, moral code and positive life philosophy at the time. Numerous heart-breaking stories of lives cut way too short makes me ineffably sad, while motivating me to help solve the global poor decision-making pandemic.
People smoke cigarettes leading to fatal maladies, while many tragically gasp their last breaths and die from cancer, emphysema, stroke, heart attack or infection, wasting their last days stuck, fully dependent on life support. Heart disease, stroke, and peripheral vascular disease, among other ailments, due to diabetes, high blood pressure, sedentary lifestyles, neglect, noncompliance, and other preventable conditions are motivating factors toward helping stop the unnecessary early demise and poor quality of living that so many people may or may not consciously be aware they are choosing and creating for themselves. Becoming lucidly alert, vividly aware, and keenly knowledgeable about how precious and fragile life truly is before it’s too late is possible by spreading messages of hope, inspiration, and practical ways to live bountiful joy-filled lives.
“We are here to laugh at the odds and live our lives so well that death will tremble to take us” (Charles Bukowski). Continual growth and progress are pivotal keys toward living fully, therefore dying full, yet spent. You can’t spend your way to monetary wealth, only long-term joy fulfilling wealth. Remember to start where you are with what you have. No excuses, blaming, complaining, self-pity, regret, shame, or procrastination allowed. Get intentionally busy filling yourself up with greatness so you can spend yourself in an extravagant, yet selfless manner.
“True wisdom is less presuming than folly. The wise man doubts often, and changes his mind; the fool is obstinate, and doubts not; he knows all things but his own ignorance” (Akhenaton). Practice making decisions quickly through self-awareness by knowing thyself well and increasing wisdom and understanding, which are lifelong endeavors. The more knowledge acquired reveals how little we truly know. Stay insatiably curious and hungry, constantly hunting to unearth golden nuggets of prudent insights that help mankind.
“A good listener is not only popular everywhere, but after a while he gets to know something” (Wilson Mizner). We can learn much by observing people, including watching our kids play or through hearing and heeding their wisdom. Old can learn from young, and young from older. Yes, edification occurs through teaching others, yet even more understanding, applicable knowledge, insight, awareness, and life-changing advice or suggestions comes through the art of listening.
Constant and never-ending improvement is an eternal endeavor. Winners commit to a plan, persevering no matter what. This means never, never, never giving up. Additionally, forgiveness breaks chains, thus granting freedom for progressive growth. Simple pragmatic ideas for a better life occur just from listening. Remember, purpose-driven action is imperative for continual progression.
