When we truly want something, as much as air, we will do whatever it takes and go anywhere to get it. Be a go-getter, while embracing positive mental attitudes (PMAs). Negative mental attitudes (NMAs) suck the life out of ourselves, along with those around us. PMAs produce energy in ourselves and others. PMAs are caught like a cold, although vibrate positive energy and wonderful emotions, unlike an illness. Positive attitudes change everything (PACE) is a worthy acronym for us to embrace. We must be aware of our thoughts, attitudes, emotions, feelings, words, principles, values, behaviors, philosophies, habits, and comprehensive internal and external environments. Be true to your dreams so you can make them reality by pushing through undesirable feelings and into success.
“You can get a lot farther with a kind word and a gun than a kind word alone” (Al Capone). If a gun was held to your head or that of a family member and you were told you must stop a bad habit to prevent death, you could do it. That is called intrinsic motivation. We don’t want to coerce anyone, although we must sell ourselves in order to achieve our dreams. Desire the acquisition of dreams come true as badly as you crave the air you breathe. Dare to be original by being good and principled, while upholding steadfast concrete moral values and associate with people that sustain and reciprocate the like.
“As to methods there may be a million and then some, but principles are few. The man who grasps principles can successfully select his own methods. The man who tries methods, ignoring principles, is sure to have trouble” (Ralph Waldo Emerson). Embrace your own adopted principles and moral code before beginning the pursuit toward any endeavor. Persevere with an unstoppable, relentless, and lit fuel knowing you will succeed. Ignited ABLE (attitudes, behaviors, leveraged intrinsic and extrinsic environments) dreams really do work.
In the 1952 Olympics, Sir Roger Gilbert Bannister broke the seemingly impossible feat of running one mile in under four minutes. After Dr. Bannister set that new world record, heightened awareness about possibility, probability, and potential grew in others. Within 46 days, Bannister’s record was shattered.¹³ Don’t wait to do something that has never been achieved before, but be crazy enough to believe in the potential of your dreams.
Even if a person walked only a few steps daily from New York City to Los Angeles, he or she would eventually arrive by not losing sight, faith or perseverance. By visualizing a goal completed and outstanding rewards associated, prior to beginning an endeavor, gaps are closed between current circumstances and joyfully culminating extraordinary objectives. As long as people do not give up believing in themselves, goals will be achieved. Plan each day and work the plan. Dream, imagine, innovate, create, and don’t stop running the race set out for you to complete. Truly successful people don’t focus on competing against others, but upon winning. There is enough to go around for everyone. Why not for you too? …, there is!

People act out of desperation, pain, anger, fear, greed, desire, envy, necessity, inspiration and pleasure. Let’s raise our standards by taking initiative to dream big and do bigger, while tolerating nothing less than the best from ourselves. Be filled with hope, meaning, and purpose by embracing your vision, mission, why and how, in order to get your greatness out into the world, today.
When we develop and root our thoughts, beliefs, principles, values, words, and habits into our automatic subconscious mind we operate at an expedited velocity and fuller capacity. We can truly live freely through consciously deciding to be responsible, optimistic, a good-finder, a go-getter, and a go-giver. Embracing an attitude of cooperation with utter faith, obsession, and conviction allows good that is imagined to permeate our subconscious as absolute belief and truth. Practicing these techniques can transform dream seedlings into dream realities.
We use the prefrontal cortex of our brain while using our objective conscious mind to rationalize, make decisions, influence behaviors, and view the beauty around us relative to individualized personality. The amygdala in our temporal lobes controls our emotions, feelings, memory, and survival instincts. Utilizing our subjective subconscious mind that is substantially faster than our conscious mind can bring our new fulfilling life to warp speed. Our automatic subconscious mind uses feelings and moods associated with senses of touch, sight, hearing, smell, taste, and imagination to manifest positive mental memories.
“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams” (Eleanor Roosevelt). Maintaining a PMA and proper perspective toward our targets makes achieving dreams fully attainable. Decide what you want to do, why, and do it. No excuses, blaming, criticizing, regret, self-pity, gossiping, or procrastination allowed. Excuses only hinder, null and void the pursuit of goals and dreams, therefore stop making them. If something doesn’t serve you and others, don’t do it. Stop digging and start building.
Prove others and your past self, wrong, by proving your new self, right. Antagonistically, do what you think you cannot do, despite fear, uncertainty, and doubt. Do what motivates, inspires, ignites, and drives you toward achieving your goals. Ask yourself, “Is what I am doing each day the best way I can live my life? Am I truly giving my best efforts to live fully and on purpose right now? How can I use and develop my gifts, talents, skills, and abilities to further serve and help others eradicate bad habits, live abundantly, choose wisely, and accomplish dreams?” Completely accept yourself right where you are, while progressing toward further lifelong growth and development.
Furthermore, self-discipline is key toward achieving dreams come true. Self-discipline is saying yes when you want to say no, and saying no when you want to say yes. Pay now or pay later. Don’t forget this—paying the price of self-discipline now leads to an easy life later. Health, relationships, and money all compound graciously when we live accordingly, doing the right thing, day by day, habitually self-disciplined in our principles, values, and priorities. Know them well.
